Five sessions explored Manitoba's archives and museums (about the Dugald Costume Museum and archival holdings in small museums), the fur trade (on the negotiations of Treaty 5 and the Sinclair family at Norway House, 1902-1912), Northern Manitoba (on Methodist and Indian schools), oral history (a panel discussion), the Walker Theatre in Winnipeg, and ethnic farm settlement patterns (on the first Jewish settlement in Sambatyon, Man., and Mennonite farmers, 1880-1900). -- A paper on Ukrainian churches in rural Manitoba was presented, but not submitted in written form.
